About

Phoenix Musicians

Joannah’s multi-cultural background influences her sound, a fusion of Blues, Jazz and Rock, spiked with Grunge, Hip Hop, R&B, and Soul.

From Rock Island, IL, but permanent resident of Phoenix, AZ, she’s been in music all her life, starting with her grandmother teaching her to sing on piano at 5, and evolving to picking up her first guitar at 13.

Although her style is diverse, her main influences are power-house female singers, like Etta James, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Amy Winehouse.

She is a full-time professional musician, entertaining 4 residencies a week, and connecting with additional venues and private events that want to enhance their ambiance with live music.

She’s also a recording artist, and has songs listed on streaming platforms like Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, and YouTube Music. Currently, she’s re-recording her first EP “Songs For the Authentic Soul” for re-release, in addition to recording and self-producing new singles, like “Waste My Energy”.

What makes her special?

Aside from having the voice of an angel, and wicked guitar skills (an objective and unbiased opinion of course), she loves to banter and joke with her audience. Connecting with people and bringing them laughter, joy, and life in their lives, is what performing is all about, the rest is icing on the cake.

What can she do for me?

She sees every booking as an opportunity to build partnerships and relationships, and she wants all parties to be successful, so in addition to asking questions to establish your vision and goals with live music, she will promote public shows to her email list of over 170 loyal fans, and her growing social medias of over 1,500 followers collectively.
